Upbeat Arts is looking for a talented marketing and communications person to support our expanding organisation.

This proactive and creative role will play a key part in telling the stories of our programs, members, and impact—ensuring our communications reflect our values, promote our work, and strengthen connection with our community.

Your Role

Are you passionate about digital engagement and creative communication? Join our team to help shape our online presence and connect with our vibrant community! In this dynamic role, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and updating our WordPress website, creating engaging content for our social media channels, and supporting the production of our quarterly e-newsletter.

You’ll also have the opportunity to craft compelling blog posts, assist with marketing collateral, and contribute to promotional campaigns and events. If you have an eye for detail, a flair for storytelling, and a desire to make a positive impact, we would love to hear from you!

Work details

  • Casual 8 – 10 hours per week.
  • This is a flexible role, where you can work from home, or the local coffee shop!
  • It will suit someone living in the greater Brisbane area, with a vehicle to enable you to occasionally travel to our rehearsals and events to gather content.

  • The rate of pay will be discussed during initial conversations with short-listed candidates.

What you'll bring

  • A warm, empathetic, and person-centred approach
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; composed, friendly, and approachable
  • Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise
  • Creative and flexible, with a can-do attitude and collaborative spirit
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite, with basic graphic design skills and familiarity with WordPress
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications are desirable but not mandatory.
  • A passion for the arts and mental health recovery, and you’ll be resourceful and proactive.
